Mercedes Benz C Class used

Benz C class features differ for each year production. Revisions and changes are
done to suit the changing fad in car market and to achieve much better performance
as well. Yearly changes should be known by prospective buyers to make sure that
the model they choose will suit their personal preferences. Some of the yearly
changes for 1995-2000 are enumerated in the next paragraphs.
For 1995, the limited edition of C36 sedan was produced with a 3.6-liter 6-cylinder
engine capable of producing 268 horsepower. The technologically advanced Acceleration Slip Control with throttle control was optional for C280. Added dashboard switch was used
to control throttling. Little changes were done for 1996 including new standard
features. Horsepower and torque increased for 1997. The four-speed transmission
was replaced with a five speed automatic transmission. Safety features are added
including the new front seat occupant detection sensor that can adjust the passenger
side airbag depending on the weight that it can detect.
Several changes were done for 1998. V6 engine replaced the inline six-cylinder
for C280. The new C43 was formally introduced using the V8 engine with 302 horsepower.
Added features such as the "Smart-Key" anti-theft ignition system matched the
changes in style and look. Base models for 1998 got new standard engines, the
supercharged version of the former that comes with added 39 horsepower. 2000 comes
with a Touch Shift manual-shifting capability for automatic transmissions. The
optional telescoping steering column and antiskid control becomes standard.
